I Ozone Introduction

Ozone, 03, is a very active gas possessing a distinctive odor and is a normal constituent of the earth’s atmosphere. Ozone is produced deliberately for a variety of industrial and medical purposes and is also produced naturally from oxygen whenever ultra-violet radiation or electrical discharges, e.g. at high altitudes or by the action of lightning. Ozone itself is a distinctly blue colored gas (bp - 111.9eC) and is about one and a half times heavier than air (density 2.144g/l). Ozone is used as “ozonated air”, a colorless gas produced when ozone is generated from part of the oxygen in air. Ozone cannot be stored or transported in vessels because it decomposes spontaneously in the presence of oxidisable impurities, humidity and solid surfaces. The rate of decomposition increases with temperature.

Such natural occurrence is unlikely to produce concentrations hazardous to man, because of its strong tendency to decompose and to release oxygen, ozone is extremely reactive and is a powerful oxidising agent which reacts explosively with oil and grease. Nevertheless it can be used with safety in industry. For example, since it readily oxidises organic matter, it is used an a bactericide and algaecide.

IV Installation and Usage

1. Take out the unit from the package

2. Put it on a flat surface nearby place of your application.

3. Connect the air/oxygen source to the connector on the left side of the unit.

4. Connect tubing with Male Luer connector to the ozone outlet on a top of the unit.

5. Connect the adapter to the 12V DC power of the appliance, plug it to the 11OV outlet.

6. Press the “ON/OFF” button when the ‘POWER” indication light is red, the “OZONE” indication light is green when the appliance isworking.

7. ATTENTION! PURE OZONE ISA TOXIC GAS FOR BREATHING! People ARE NOT ALLOWED to stay in the space where the appliance is delivering ozone to the ambient air directly.

VI. Safety and Cautions

1. Make sure that all accessories are attached in the unit and the appliance is in good condition when it is received. Always keepthe appliance vertical on the ground.

2. Do not store the appliance in a humid place.

3. Do not clean this appliance using a damp cloth when it is working

4. Operate the appliance in a precondition within OC 40C & 0 70% RH

5. Disconnect the adapter from 11OV power before opening the housing or any maintenance.

6. It is not recommended to switch on & off frequently on this appliance. To avoid re-switch on/off the appliance at least 2mins after switching off.

7. Do not block the ventilated fan and outlet of the appliance all the time.

8. Turn off this appliance and unplug the adapter immediately when there is ozone leakage inside the housing. A space with ventilation is preferable to stay when this happens.

9. It is not preferable to operate the appliance in flammable or explosive places. Do be more careful if it is necessary.

10. Pack the appliance into a box if it is not going to use for a long while

11. Do not block ozone outlet line or create ozone back pressure in-line, ozone must always flow free with minimum in-line pressure.

VIII Maintenance Service

1. This Ozone Generator MED - A1 is warranted to be free from all defects in material in normal household use for a period of(t) year from date of purchase.

2. The warranty is guaranteed only to the original purchaser and members of his or her immediate household. The warranty is subject to the following provisions. Any damages or malfunctions caused by negligence, abuse, or not operate in accordance with the User’s Manual are not covered by this warranty. Also, any defects or damages caused by unauthorized service or the use of other than Genuine parts are not covered.

3. MEGA-OZONE will, at its option, repair or replace a defective unit or part(s) for the unit that is covered by this warranty. As of warranty policy, MEGA-OZONE will not refund the customer’s purchasing price. Please recorder the folio warranty Card when you purchase the unit from our company or the distributor.

4. To obtain warranty service you must return the defective Generator complete with power supply along with proof of purchasing to our company or any zed Warranty Station. Alt transportation charges on parts, or units, submitted under this Warranty shall be by purchaser.
